New to the forum and have not got a chance to introduce myself yet. This is more important right now! My car won't turn off with the key! What can this be? I am new to both Mercedes and diesal cars. I hope it's a easy fix.

LOOK IN YOUR OWNERS MANUAL. IT WILL DESCRIBE HOW TO DO THIS IN THE HINTS SECTOIN . ATLEAST IT DOES IN MINE. ANYWAY, YOU JSUT OPEN THE HOOD, AND LOOK FOR A RED LEVER IN THE ENGINE AREA THAT WILL SAY "OFF'. PUSH THAT DOWN AND IT WILL SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. IT DOES SO BY KILLING HTE VACCUME PRESSURE. I HAVE ANSWERED THEIS QUESTOIN ATELAST 10 TIMS NOW LOL. iT IS VERY LIKELY THAT YOUR IGNITION VACCUME IS RUINED, OR SIMPLY KNOCKED OFF. STATISTICALY THE #1 REASON FOR THIS PROBLEM IS BUMPING A VACUUME HOSE DURING AN OIL CHANGE WHILE REPLACING THE FILTER. JUST PUSH THEM BACK DOWN ON THE NIPPLES.

hey buddy where di you find out about dieselgiant.com lolvie always gone to that site I olvoe that palkce and get all my parts form there. I have never run into someone else ona forum that knew about it]\

 

been here for a day, own my diesel for not evening a week, it's never to hard to find what one seeks to obtain......unless it is a ignition swich that no local parts store carries (or carrys no parts for the old diesels in general. napa and schucks! damn them!)

 

well just go to www.dieselgiant.com and navigate to their parts section. they have rapid delivery and sell this part.
