I have a 2001 R129 SL500. Several weeks ago the ABS light would activate only on occasion. Also the steering had a squeak to it. Now the turn signals will not turn off automatically.

Any idea? I did have brakes checked but Im assuming its the steering column?

 

I have the same problum with my 97 500sl do you know what the problum might be?

 

they could all be separate issues. the turnsignal switch is probably bad as far as the signal not shutting off. can you tell for sure where the squeak is coming from? the steering linkages can dry out and squeak.
