Anybody know the fuel mileage they get with their Mercedes diesel?? Curious to see if mine is falling in range!

 

I remember you have 85 model?
My 83 -300 tdt suppose to make 25 MPG. With my heavy foot I seldom passed 20, mostly on freeway driving, but with traffic on it all the time.
The 93 sedan I used to have with 2.5 l was much better. I would make 28 MPG with my speeds, 35MPG at 70 MPH.

 

The 86-87 300SDL with OM603 diesel engine, fuel economy is in the neighborhood of between 24 to 28 mpg, generally. The 87 300D with the same engine gets between 27 and 30 mpg due in part to it's lighter weight and better design co-efficients.

My 87 TD gets about 30 MPG. I'm happy with that.

 

I just completed a 400 mile "color tour" of northern michigan. temps were in the 60s. mostly flat interstate driving at 70 mph. I got an honest 30 mpg. 1980 300sd turbo. 275kmiles.
