on a dark and stormy night i fumbled and could not find the driver's lock with my key and when i finally did - 12 paces towards the front door the alarm went off.
nasty business this alarm. mercedes quality.
i had to lock the car by way of the passenger door and reaching in to depress the door lock ****.

i had disconnected the battery with no luck in silencing the alarm.
the owner's manual makes no mention of an alarm system.

help!
