Default 85 300SD Block Heater - help

I previously kept my 300SD in the garage during the winter, but this year it's going to live outside. I thought I would locate the plug for the block heater and setup a timer ect. Guess what.....no plug! I thougt there was one, but I must have been thinking of my 81 SD.

Are block heaters standard equiptment? Is there a heater built into the block, or should I buy an aftermarket one? Any idea where it would be located or where to buy??

Many thanks!!

Never had to use block heater in CA, but remember plugs in the front of the radiators. When they are not used, than sometimes mechanics kicks the cable down.
If you don't find original heater, than I've seen heaters with magnets, that you stick to the oil pan at JC Whitney.
