Just purchased a 83 300D from the Daughter who just bought the car as is. Ran fine then cut off on her and after looking at it briefly it's not getting fuel to the injectors. This is a assumption for the reason the bleed valve while open was not throwing fuel all over the place while the motor was being cranked. I purchased a Chiltons online manual and ref. a electric fuel pump , I read somewhere that there is not electric fuel pump therefore it was not under the left flr. board as I discovered. There is a fuel feed pump / fuel lifter pump. Before looking under the car Chiltons manual suggested to open the fuel line and turn the ignition key on for 30 sec. and I should get 1 ltr. of fuel. It didn't happen , thats when I looked for electric pump under the car. again no eletric fuel pump but they sell them online ? I'm guessing that it is for a gas motor. Reading other forums it's suggest that the lifter pump rarely goes bad that it's probably some type of valve / or adjustment. HELP
