300D part identification

Default 300D part identification

Can anyone tell me what exactly this is? I think its a tensioner for the alternator but am not totally sure.


P.S.-- If anyone has one that's still in good condition or knows where i could get one for a reasonable price post please

Yes it is the Belt Tensioner. But, you cannot just start turning on it (the part in the 2nd pictur); you need to loosen the nut in your case on the other side of the Bot that is in your first Picture.

Well I looked at my favorite parts place that has normally good prices on stuff and that had that bolt with the threaded rod attatched for that Alternator tensioner but they wanted $42 for it.
Even though it is bent a little it looks like the one you have could be made to work.
