Hi I am new to this post and mercedes diesels, I traded a 22 pistol for a 76 240D its in good shape as it has been sitting around for awhile, the odometer shows 91000 so it could be anything but the seats and interior are very good indicating little wear.
I am in the process of changing the belts,hoses tires but cant figure how to loosen the power steering pump to get the belt off. The motor ran great on the way home but of course belts where squeling, didnt smoke black and finally about 4 blocks from my shop the alt/water pump belt let go.
I got it home before over heating. Pulled most of the stuff off but cant get the PS belt.
Any help appreciated.
