Hi all
I was putting my 240D up for the winter, when I went to open the hood. I pulled the lever and the grill tab popped out, when I went to pull the tab, it snapped off. I tried reaching in with pliers to pull it, but couldn't get it to work. Result? I am unable to open the hood! Any ideas for a workaround?

try making a hook from a metal coathanger or similar and look in grill with flashlight and hook and pull the lever.

ive got the coat hanger as a faboulious semi-permanent fix

 

Mine broke last winter and I had it replaced pretty cheaply by a body shop who had to order a new piece. It stinks that it's made out of plastic.
