Default 1986 Cooling System Question

I was involved in an accident yesterday and have to rebuild my front end.
Can a 86 190E radiator work as a replacement for my 190D? I get mixed recs.
One shop I got the radiator from said I would have to modify the fluid intake
since the intake valves are switched around with the electric and diesel.

Another said I couldn't since the tranny cooler is built into the 190D radiators.
Anyone have a definitive answer on if I have to find a radiator specifically for a 190D?
Thanks, Ron
