Default 1982 240D, engine wont turn off.

yesterday i went to jiffylube to get my oil changed, (i've had this problem before) and i guess they knocked a hose or something or one of my golf Tee's (what i use to close some tubes with) fell off. now my engine wont shut off. all the electrical turns off, but according to my dad, the vacuum system is sitll pulling gas to the engine, thus why it wont turn off. my dad who fixed this before just closed off the hoses that werent connected to anything and it shut off fine. but i cant find anything that isnt connected. im not very familiar what what should be connected to what or closed off, so if anybody that has any experience with this please lend your advice :]
i also took a few pictures, and i can take more of specified areas if needed.

these are the tubes that are generally plugged. im not sure of the long brown one, but my dad said there should be multiple golf tees in this area and i only saw one, so i plugged that one as well. and i have no idea what that yellow thing is, but im pretty sure it was never plugged Dx

and this is something i havent noticed before, it looks like something should go into it. but it could also be totally irrelevant :l

I'm sorry but you can't plug those vacuum lines and expect it to function properly. Everyone of those lines have a job to do. hook em all back up and then troubleshoot. Otherwise your just assumeing. Do you think the moco. would waste money on something the car really did'nt need ?

thats the problem! D:
i dont know where any of them go, plug into or what they do.
and i wanted to know if one of them is the reason for my car still pulling gas to the engine. specifically the unplugged ones because this happened after an oil change.

The hoses are cut to fit, just hook them up where they fit comfortably. Unless you get a diagram of the vacuum hoses, you'll have to trial and error it. But remmember they are cut to fit so they should pretty much fall into place.

My son's 240D had this problem and it turned out the AC vacuum hose (the green line) was leaking. Also connect the plugged hose which has the brown and green line to the yellow vacuum check valve.

1983 300D Turbo-diesel, would not shut off, but would act like it wanted to, i took the passenger door panel off and checked the door lock vacuum box with my vacuum pump, on the one nipple it would lock and hold vacuum, but when i tried the other one, it would not unlock or hold vacuum. So i plugged both lines and now when i turn the key off the engine shuts right down, the same as if i pushed the STOP lever on the top of the engine. My conclusion is the box was leaking, not giving enough vacuum to the vacuum switch to shut the fuel off. just luck ? I hope this helps.

Mine wouldn't shut off either and I discovered that if I locked the door it would act as normal so I discovered a vacuum leak on the unlock side of the switch. Here is a video of how I was able to fix the problem with parts from a r/c hobby shop.
