The drivers side taillight in my 1983 300D wont turn out under any circumstances. It just sits there and stays on after the car has been turned off and the key removed. Any suggestions?

 

make sure that you've turned your headlights completely off- if you are one notch left of center you've
activated a park light

 

What is the purpose of those left and right park lights, I can't think of a use.[sm=dontgetit.gif]

 

they're 'standing lamps' to be used to make the vehicle more visable when parked near the roadway....on my CLK the 'PARKING lamps' option also illuminates licence plate light, instrument panel lights. etc whick may use too much battery over time-
so the 'standing lamps' option is also available....one click left of 'OFF' illuminates right side & two clicks the left side.
