Default I just finished installing AUX input for satelite radio 05 C240

Installing Satelite Radio Aux. Input in my 2005 C 240 wagon

This was so easy I could not believe it. I took pics so I could post them here but have never done so before so patience please.

On passenger side of car there is a white plug along bottem of kick panel to recieve an aux. input for a Satelite Radio or Ipod. check to make sure it is there before ordering the part from MB (#A 210 440 50 05 ) also if you look real good inside the right side of glove box near top you will see an outline of a circle that is where the input will be when finished.
1st Open glove box if you look good there is a small slot to put a small tool in to remove the right side dash panel, see pic 1

2nd Pry up seal plate part way (you do not have to take it all the way off) pic 5

3rd remove cap and screw that holds kick panel pic 4

4th Pull up door seal to expose locating clips of kick panel and remove kick panel pic 3 next reply

5th Cut from outside to inside hole for aux input at top of glove box 4 very small ribs that hold the plug in place. pic 3

6th Plug in wire harness of aux input at white plug that you located at bottem of kick panel and coil extra wire someplace so it does not get pinched when you reinstall kick panel. pic 4 next thread

Reinstall in reverse order.

At radio with key on -----hold down CDC button on radio until you see Aux input .
To be comtinued

Hello I just purchased a 2005 C240 wagon and I wanted to get satellite radio as well., This may be a stupid question but is this the same as the factory MB would have done? Can you please tell me more about how you did this? thank you,
anna

I just did this on my 2005 C240 sedan. It was easy and took about 15 minutes. I love having the aux input. Thanks for posting the instructions and pics.

Hi, is this solution works for C240 2004. I have CD, radio, Tel, Tape button the audio system. I do see white plug that has wire coming from glove box and other end wire going under the plastic underneath seat.
