Another Another phone question. And TV.
I have just bought a 2000 S320 and love it - it's making my long distance commute easy I have a couple of questions which I have been unable to answer by looking in the manual (it's in German) or by searching this board. There's a lot of advice about phones here already but I live in Bahrain, not the US....
1) I have the 2000 S320 and a Nokia 6230i. How can I combine the two? - The phone has bluetooth but i don't think the car does in 2000, right? Cradles? Mikbox? Argos?duhduhduhduhduh <head overheats and explodes into flame>
2) When I press the TV button on COMAND it tells me "No TV!" in a fairly cursory manner. Why, please?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Martino's E-class is a D2B wired W210. Not to be compared with your W211 E-class, Jack.
The W210s have CD-rom based comands, and can NOT play DVDs by itself. One can either purchase a separate D2B TV tuner and mount it in the trunk, or an aftermarket A/V adapter which can be used to hook up a DVD player.
As for phone kits: knowing that the W210 is in Bahrain, it is a Euro spec W210... and may NOT be pre-wired for phone. However, it is still possible to get a phone kit installed that will integrate with the steering wheel controls and audio system. You will be needing a UHI phone kit. And you can either use a phone specific UHI (6230i) cradle, or the UHI Bluetooth interface.

RE: Another Another phone question. And TV.
Hi All:
From: Alan B. Mercedes Forum Newbie
It's the end of 2006, Phones have changed and options have changed. A friend has just upgraded his 2002 clk system to the Mercedes Bluetooth System (a $2,500 upgarde). It's not as clear and has more background noise then his oringinal StarTAC system.
Is Mikbox still in business? The phone choices are limited. Still maybe my best option. Any suggestions?
So: 1) Mercedes upgrade 2) Mikebox 3) Argos - HELP! Anything else?
2001 S600
Out of warranty
Timeport phone system
Target phone Motorola E-815
I want a high quality phone solution, otherwise you might as well wear a bluetooth earpiece.
Thanks,
Alan B.

Mikbox is great choice if you have phone options from factory. If you had no phone option when you leased or purchased the car, Argos would be the best solution (Bluetooth only).

mikbox?
All right, next step:
According to MBUSA:The PSE is BQ 6 82 9648 or universal rename BQ 6 82 9648
I have pulled the CD player, voice module and PSE out and the only numbers on the PSE box are SN: 839978 and TANAPA: SYN8738A. (Maybe Euro parts??)
I would sure like to have the original system with newer phone and exterior antenna.
Has anyone run into this situation with Mikbox instalation?
