Want to replace the Continentals 245/45 17 on my 1999 SL500 129 with staggered 8.5/ 18 wheel 255 /40 zr 18 tire on front & 9.5 /18 wheel 285/35/zr18 tire on rear. These were from 2006 SL 500 230. I've been told they will fit, but I'm not sure. Will the bigger wheel & tire be better? The tires are Michilin Sport. Or should I just keep my 17 " wheels and just change tires?
