I am selling my 1975 240D Mercedes that I inherited from my grandfather.

Blue four door sedan, automatic, with power sunroof, available AC, original radio, clean interior and exterior, leather seats. Engine was replaced by my grandfather in 1993 when he purchased the car. He also had the car repainted; starter replaced; new shocks, glow plugs, alternator; and extensive other maintenance to get it road worthy and beautiful inside and out. Again, the majority of work was done in 1993, I got the car in 2005, and have had a little work done, but it has been overall a great car.

I have all records since 1993 (including a gas book with mileage for every fill up since 1993); also original manuals from it's purchase in 1975 by a man in Idaho. I am 4th known owner. Car shows 61,479 miles, my grandfather got it with 84,333 on it so car has 145,812 known mileage (may have 245/345 for all I know). Tires are practically brand new, battery is less than 2 years old. It gets between 20-23 mpg in town.

Issues: There is an oil cooler hose leak that my mechanic says is close to impossible to get to and would be an expensive fix. It's a slow leak only requiring occasional topping-up of oil. The auto door locks have a leak somewhere in the vacuum seals. The AC needs a belt and recharging. The power sunroof used to work but has developed a short or needs fuse replacement. The windshield washer reservoir is cracked and needs replacement.

Perfect car for bio diesel conversion. Car is located in Santa Fe, NM.
