This wagon has good many good aspects not least among them is 28mpg, safety, room and comportment on the road. I have all service records... A/C has been converted to new refrigerant and in good order. The body is pretty clean although it deserves some attention. The drivetrain is nearly impeccable, though, with new many new front and rear linkages and joints. The engine is very solid with routine service, with records, preventative and timely maintenance.

Bump how did the 9months in France go? Did you ever liberate yourself of this wagon, do you still want to?

 

Curiously, this summer the car provided absolutely no problems... It seems as though I have finally surmounted the crest of maintenance items. One note for mechanics and enthousiasts out there, though... For years the car has had 'twitchy' and wandering feeling on straight roads... For that reason and to chase it down I've spent at least $2000 on all alignment parts suspected, ball joints to shocks and back to bushings and springs... Finally, and upon reading in your forum, perhaps, the benefits to changing streering pump fluid with new. After that, enormous improvements, equally for the functioining of the Nivomat. Today, all, all filters have been changed within one year... and I sense a lightness of being to the car. Worthy!
