Default Installing Remote starter on 300 TDT

I'm trying to resolve the curse of installing a remote starter on my 87 MB 300 TDT wagon. First it was locating the tach wire, then it involved a vacuum switch in the ignition, someone please tell me if this is a perception or reality, can it be done? Which brand do you recommend? Thanks

Default RE: Installing Remote starter on 300 TDT

Is that a diesel? Installing a remote starter on a diesel is not usually recommended, because of its design. Gasoline engines on the other hand is very much possible. I recommend DEI Products (Direct Electronics INC.)...the same makers of Viper, Sidewinder, Hornet. Very reliable alarms and remote starters. I've installed it a lot, and it's very good!!!

take care,
