I recently purchased a Bosch glow plug kit in order to upgrade my system from the old hook style plugs to the pencil style. That kit included a new relay/control box that the instructions dont make seem like an optional part of the install, nor does itappear to be easyto do. Since making that purchase I discovered what appears to be a simpler kit on the 'Mercedes Source' website . Specifically, it includes the pencil style plugs, three of the wire connectors, and an instruction manual. Unless I am missing something it looks like I may be able to get away with using the original relay/control configuration with my new plugs.Id prefer to avoid the extra work involved with the rewiring if possible.Has anyone attempted this, with or without the guidance of that manual? If so, I wouldreally appreciate your insight about what isrequired to make this configuration work.Thanks, Dave (david.ray@umit.maine.edu)
