Wrecked 57 220S Convertible
I have a "slight" problem with my newly restored 1957 220S Convertible that was destroyed on its way back from being worked on a couple weeks ago. It fell off a flatbed truck and is considered by my insurance to be totaled. I had put a lot of money into this car and am researching what value it should have had before it was destroyed. The only reasonable price I could find (for what I think its value should be) is in the January-April Cars That Matter Price Guide. Values are as follows: #4 $40,000; #3 $57,800; #2 $78,500; #1 $96,500. Anyone have any input on what they think the value should be? The insurance company is using NADA which is way out of line at $21,000 (Low) $40,000 (Average) and $52,600 (High). Cars of Particular Interest has my car (A solid #2) at $49,000, which is way low. Is Cars That Matter the only guide that gets these cars right? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
See what some have been selling for at auctions like Barret-jackson and others. U should have had it appraised then they would have wrote u a check for that amount thats what my family did with its collectors cars
