Electric windows 300 DT 1987
My right front and right rear windows stopped working. I checked motors, they work fine. The switches work fine. There is a brown wire at switch that I jumped from left side switch. This fixed problem for a week, now nothing. My left side still works fine. My understanding is that left front and right rear are on same circuit and Left front and right rear are on same circuit.I jumped a wire from battery to the juction box in door panel. The window goes up and down perfectly, but not by switch. I can hear the motor lightly trying to work by switch when I put my ear to the motor. What to do?

David,

I know from my experience with German car electrical systems that a brown wire (without any additional stripes, dots, markings etc.) is *always* a ground wire. I would try running a known good ground to the terminal on the switch that the brown wire was/is connected to and see what happens.

Your trouble may be as simple as a bad ground -- good luck.
