ASD ligt

Default ASD ligt
I recently brought a 190E 2.5 16valve cosworth G reg, even though parts have needed to be replaced the ASD light has come up on the dashboard. Due to the car not being sold with an owners hand book can anyone tell me what the ASD light means?
