Does anyone know what would cause the windshield wipers on my '82 240D to come to rest in different positions on the windshield when switched off? During regular operation on speedI or speedII they sweep the surface as they should, but when I turn them off there's no telling where the blades will come to rest.</P>


I've also noticed this when using the intermittent setting. Any ideas what is causing this?</P>
