As for the bearded one, I think Pakistani troops have his exact address, as in the the exact hole in the exact mountain. They could take him out whenever they feel like it. Pakistan is between a rock and a hard place, though. If they capture the "one" then Muslims will attack them and the US will be happy. If they just contain him as they're doing, the US isn't necessarily unhappy and Muslims go kill other people. It's alot safer for Pakistan to let the sleeping dog lie.

 

Thats a good arguement but i would take it a step further and say that some US agents know but its in the best interest of the US not to capture him cause it could cause more violence against the US soldiers in Iraq.

 

Yeah, I meant that too. He's contained. He isn't causing any problems worthy of note. He's lucky if he can get a tape recording out once or twice a year. He's probably very ill. He's cooked right where he is. I say let him die where he is. If the US kills him, they'll call him a martyr.

 

I believe OBL is worth more alive than dead exactly because of the martyrdom issue.

I was watching a show on the capture of Pablo Escobar in the early 1990's. As soon as he went dark (communications wise) we lost track of him for three months. I believe the USA military learned from that incident and would not allow such a target to get away theses days.

So, technology has improved communications for all of us, to our detriment at times.

 

Yeah if he becomes a martyr we're screwed.

You also realize that people that know what part of the body that these kind of chips are in will just kill or might not kill the person and cut off that body part to be able to enter the room or building.

 

... but, if you know the person has a chip in a certain body part and you know what it's used for and you know how to use it and you want to get in to take whatever, why not just push the guy up against the chip reader? You don't have to kill him or cut his body part off. Just duct tape him to a chair before you leave.
