i don't think china will allow imports of junk car esp right hand drive.
car older than 10 years cannot register anymore.
i am driving VW Golf daily (for fun and work) and they nearly fail it on the test last monday because it was 9 years old!
fortunately it performs better than 2 year old car because am good at tinkering at anything on car.

I've had a few Ford trucks myself. I've also had two late-model T-Birds and an older Granada. They were all good vehicles. Some people are just lucky, I guess, and some aren't.
I'll bet there's at least one person out there that thinks their British car was the greatest hunk of metal to ever roll down a street. I would disagree, however.

I think Ford has really uped their game over the last 5 years.
The influx of Volvo, European Ford, and Mazda technology in their American offerings has improved Ford vehicals.
In January 2005, I think, Consumer Reports listed the lowly Ford Focus as the best small car-beating out Honda and Toyota.
That's a surprise from a magazine that has had a love affair with Asian small cars for as long as I can remember.

... and look at F-150 and Taurus sales over the years. They've both held records for highest sales. I don't like either one, but America does. They're relatively cheap and must be reliable. People buy unreliable cars, but they don't keep coming back again and again to get another one.

I am not a fan of Ford either but i give credit were credit is due even if i dont like a company or someone. All American cars have come along way since the 1970s and 1980s including Ford. The Focus as won Car&Drivers 10Best many times.
My parents had a Mercury Grand Marquis LS bought new in 1985 when they got ride of there Fiat. Mercury was POS sold two years later.
Lug-Some British cars are ok as long as the parent company is not located in Britain. lol
