Why is E-Series' Headlight Assembly so lame?
For many years now....C and S headlights look more or less the same since the rectangular ones. AND THEY LOOK NICE.
When S headlights went Peanuts, C followed. They look great. But E headlights did not become one piece Peanut, instead it took the form of one giant Garfield's eye, and a smaller one that looks like the left ******** of Jay Leno's cat.
Anyone know why?

Again repeating myself, I never liked the looks of the E-Class neither the current one nor the previous version. But I think that it carries the old symbol of the Mercedes brand. Tough looking strong cars for tough and old guys.
That must be it. Left over ugly headlight ideas from the 60s. Apparently some people are digging. Look at CJ7 as an example; people did not like the rectangular headlights. Jeep had to go back to the round ones.
I could still remember those MB headlights from the 60s and 70s where they are shaped vertically. Boy...talking about the light they give out....I think my hairy arsehole gives out brighter light!

Well, the retro craze has become entrenched at car manufacturers. Every car maker is proud of some retro thingie they're doing now. Some even make entire retro cars like FMC's latest T-Bird (now a dead duck) and the newest Mustang for example.
