In fact, I sent the link to one of my moderate to liberal brothers and his reply was sort of a defense of Ginsburg and an implication that all the Justices probably snooze from time to time. Geeze, get a sense of humor, will ya! It's funny and Ginsburg should feel somewhat embarrased. What's most funny to me is that there is an artist's sketch of it. It seems most trial sketchings try to capture the emotion of one of the key players and at an important point of the trial. The fact that the artist sketched Ginsburg sleeping is funny in itself. Must have been a very boring trial.

 

It would have been funnier if she had chicken salad on her face or yelled something like "Harder! No, don't stop!" when she woke up.

There's another story there that's getting blown over. Why didn't Souter or Alito give her a nudge and wake her up?

 

Cause they wished they were asleep also or the same reason that people other people sleep in a class or a meeting. ITS FUNNY!

I agree. Here she is making a fool out of herself and her coworkers don't do anything? That seems odd. Plus, one would think that Souter's or Alito's high regard for the law would compel them to give her a nudge. Then again, maybe she was doing someting for the both of them under the bench! Maybe Souter and Alito were asleep with their eyes open? I've done that myself more than once.
