A Sad Goodbye
On May 7, 2006, MercedesForum.com lost a good friend. Known to regulars as Lugnut, Allen had been one of our most well known and most active members on this forum since he joined on New Years Eve of 2003. Be it political review or technical help, few people who have visited the forum have done so without benefiting from Allen’s knowledge.
Lugnut’s impression on this forum will never be forgotten, and while pictures of him and his beloved vehicles are few in numbers, we thought that a tribute to him containing the vehicles of which he was so proud would make for a fitting collage.
His 1970 Chevelle SS454, Red, real LS5

His 1955 Bel Air, Black, 350, 4-spd, 9" Ford

His 2001 Corvette Coupe, Mag Red, 6-spd

His 2003 Silverado 2500HD 4x4, X-cab with his camper, and his 1977 Jeep CJ7

And last, but certainly not least, his 1995 SL600, Black

Also, in memoriam of Allen, his 1995 SL600 has been voted the MercedesForum Ride of the Month for August of 2006.
Our condolences go out to his family in their time of loss.
May he rest in peace.

I haven't been on the forum long, but you are right in stating Lug was well known to many members. I always appreciated his knowledge and willingness to assist members.
I didn't know that he had passed on, but am glad someone took the time to share in a very fitting tribute!
