Seriously, Ron Wydeman (OR senator), another narrow minded jerk, is on record for saying there will be no one to pick the vegi's and strawberrys. Another loser. I say empty the prisons and put them to work. Maybe I'm the jerk, Oh well.

 

After 09/11/2001, I thought the only way to secure our country would be to pass everyone through a screening process. Anyone who has the right to be in the USA legally would be free to stay, the rest have to go. No exceptions.

Too extreme? When the next major incident happens and we discover how and who, you may not think so. We are at war, like it or not.

 

Exactly and pay them but then in turn make them pay for there meals in prision and after they get out make them pay for the rest of the bills they accumulated while they were locked up. Y should we pay for them?

 

You're aware of what's been happening in the Southwest and California, aren't you? Illegal aliens, at least from Mexico, aren't about to cooperate with American immigration laws, new or old. Hey. It's their "rights" we're messing with, or so they think.

 

I say keep the prisons but put them to work. I don't want all those animals let loose at once, not that they're all animals, but I mean all the animals that there are. There's a lot of that going on already. Most prisons have jobs for prisoners and pay them, except for the worst of the worst.

 

I know but i am saying make them pay the bill for housing and feeding them once they are release. U know give them the bill. So not only will they have to pay their "debt" to society but also their other debt to society. And take the money strait from there paychecks just like they do taxes.

 

It costs about $50K per year to keep a prisoner. Where are they going to get a job that pays them enough extra to pay off a bill like that and still allow them to support themselves? If you put an undo financial burden on them, they'll just commit crimes to get money. I'm not saying we should pamper them. I just wouldn't want to "force" them to go back to crime. They don't have a lot of choices when they're released. A few do, but not most.

 

Obviously there would have to be an amount that could be taken out of there pay check that would not adversely affect them but i think this would be a great crime deturent that even once ur our of jail it is still costing u something.

 

The only deterent to crime is getting caught. Nothing else works.
