Well I was going headlong into doing some preventative maintenance and was prepared to drop plenty of cash into getting parts. From the dealership no less. I had called the local MB joint and told them my needs and braced myself for impact. It was shocking! a few hundred dollars for my parts. OK. Well, 20 minutes later, a gal at work, I was at work when I made the call, comes up to me and says "You own an 88 Mercedes?". I was stunned not knowing what she was going to say next. It turns out that her relative is the parts Manager!! I called when they were e-mailing each other and the manager saw the caller ID name. "Don't you work there?" he emailed back. Talk about your right place, right time circumstances! So I got deep discounts that I can't even find on e-bay. Life sometimes does throw you a cherry!

 

Good for you. Now if life would throw me a cherry and let me meet the guy who busted out one of my windows. I'll be nice and just crack his head open.
