I have to say how amused I have been at reading this thread. I'm sure our RV friend was only putting his comments up as he feels ill at ease being part of an ethnic minority. I'm also amazed that people here are complaining at fuel prices being 2 odd dollars a gallon. I drive a 4 litre Land Rover that gives me approx 16 MPG, and our unleaded petrol has just hit the equivalent of $7.45 a gallon !
Talking of things expensive, in the light of the terrorist attacks on our city, the transport authorities have put the prices up - a tube ticket costs a bomb, and bus ticket prices have gone through the roof !
I was lucky myself - I should have been on the piccadilly line on that stretch at roughly the time one of the bombs went off, but due to some quirk of fate decided to work form home that day!
Newbie post over - now to see if I can discover the reason why my fathers windows on his S320 have an apparent life of their own and open and shut of their own accord... any handy tips as to which is the best section to post my question gratefully received.
