If someone steals your car it is the insurance company's obligation to compensate for your losses. This is what you pay them to do.
What if you contacted the BBB?
Police are naturally useless. Anything that requires investigation or intelligence is out of their 9am-5pm normal duties

Here is the trick. Because we gave this guy permnission to tow our vehicle, they claim it isNOT stolen. The only problem is he disappeared with it and we havent seen it since October 08, his business address is fake, and we have no way of contacting him. He certainly hasnt contacted us.
The whole case is unusual to me; obviuosly there ARE people in Tennessee that are broke enough to be interested in stealing our nine year old minivan.
Allstate insurance standing on this technicality has not impressed me either. We have been a (premium) customer for about eight years with no claims, and they are fighting me on the theft claim. What would happen if we were in a serious collision? Would they bail-out onthat too? Does everything in this country have to spend three years in court? I do not feel protected at ALL, to the point I cannot sleep. I can afford to lose the van, and I can afford to lose the theft claim, and I can afford to fight in court for ten years, but what annoys me is paying (platimnum)premiums to acompany that will dead-beat a petty claim like this one. Somebody set me straight; am I thinking properly?
