Default restoring a W123

I am restoring a '79 W123 300D and I need all the help I can get.

Some people might not agree that the W123 is a classic... but i think its the youngest classic.

I hope that there are members here who feel the same way I do about the W123 and has worked with this make/model before who can give me valuable advice. I'll be needing a lot of help from YOU guys!

Does anyone know where I can get a catalog of body and engine parts for the W123? So I can quote the part# when I search for the parts. I need to replace most of the nickle plated moulding on the exterior and I am having difficulty sourcing them locally in Asia. Also, does anyone have info about a relilable parts dealer who doesnt mind shipping to Asia. I have experienced shipping parts for a 1964.5 Ford but this will be the first time I'll undergo a Mercedez Benz project.

I also want to find out what the stock radio for the '79 model was and if I can still find one that works.

I hope to learn a lot of things from this project and that this project turns out to be a success. As soon as I complete this one, I will proceed with restoring a '62 W120.

Cheers!
