Rear view mirror - interior

Hi. New member. Just bought a 2004 SL500. Love it! How do you adjust interior rear view mirror?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Is the mirror not attached to a pivot where you can move it side to side or up and down?

It is loose and just wobbles. Wife's car. Can I just pry off the plastic piece behind the mirror (toward front of the car)? After that, I'll figure out either how to tighten it or buy another one on eBay, $60-$75.

Be very careful if you're removing it; there are a lot of wires inside.

Yes, I know, but CAN I just pry the plastic cover off the front of the mirror off with a screwdriver (carefully!)?
