Hello folks, new member here [sm=hia.gif]

I am trying to help out my neighbour. She has a 1998 E320 Sedan, it's rear-view mirror is broken (the plastic housing is broken, and the auto-dimmer looks like toasted too). Where can we get one of those (any other place than the dealers?), and how difficult is it to replace it if we try it ourselves?

you may get them from the stealership or from any store that sells mb parts.

replacing is easy, since you need to replace the whole assembly and not just the glass or housing alone.

remove the covering. pry out the base for it's just spring loaded on both ends.

to install it, you need a good push one side at a time.

if still can't do it, i can send you the instructions.

 

Thanks sleepwalker [sm=thanx.gif] Yes, please send instrutions. I've searched on the web, but could not find anyplace that sells the interior rear-view mirror. Do you know of a place where we can get one of those? Also what would you guess it would cost? She wants to sell the car, but she wants to fix the mirror before selling it.
