hi everyone , i have an e200 (w210) model -it's not getting full power -put a diagnostics kit on it and it came up with ignition coils -replaced the two pin coils -still not much better -replaced the ht leads -only a bit better ...its a very bad cold starter and the "kickdown" sounds very like its misfiring for a few seconds and then very gradually and very slowly it picks up -then it could loose power just at the crucial moment ! Now i've heard it may be something to do with the automatic gearbox can anyone share any input into this conundrum -many thanks in advance -noely

 

i's say take your injectors out and give um a clean. mine has many of the same symptoms because the injectors are clogging until it gets warmed up, and sounds like misfiring when i lift off the pedal. downfall of the previous owner using regular gas =/

 

Cheers Johnny , took it to a specialist -within 5 mins told me my mass air flow meter was kaputt ! replaced it and reset the computer -perfect -car's like brand new now !
