Newbie w/ 1973 450SL

Hi, I just signed up for this forum although I've had my roadster for 8 years, I have a lot of experience troubleshooting the ECU (analog computer) and trigger points. It was running rich and then not running at all, then missing ad nauseum and it always went back to the trigger points, they can be tested with an ohm meter as you turn the engine with a wrench to immediately tell their status. I have a schematic of the ECU and it the trigger point section is switching transistors. It seems like the trigger points are the weak point of the system in my experience. If anyone needs a copy of the schematic let me know although the computer seems very hearty. Great Car!
