Default New Member Says Hello from Chattanooga

Greetings fellow Mercedes enthusiasts!

My dad recently "bequeathed" to me his 1987 300D Turbo with 282K miles on the clock. I look forward to discussing some of the issues the car has with fellow members as I delve into them.

But as long as I'm here, let me kill two birds with one stone...

I'm currently replacing the serpentine belt tensioner arm and shock/dampener assy and read that the 12mm allen head bolt that holds the tensioner arm to the timing cover requires an orange thread sealer to be applied before reassembly. Would like to know where to find this stuff. A link would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Cheers from Chattanooga!
