Hi, my name is Dan, from the northern Virginia area. I love working on my cars and do most of if not all the maintenance on them; drove Volvos for many years but recently switched to BMW. Mercedes is completely foreign to me, (sorry for the pun . . . ).

With the Honda Pilot on the way out the door, my sweetie pie would like a nice sedan. BMW seems a little to edgy for her, at least the one I would want to get her, but an E class or S class would probably be just right. I am leaning toward an 03/04 E500, but the S500 is not out of the question - still in research mode.

The BMW forums have been a great source of info for purchasing as well as for sorting out any maintenance/repair issues I've come across. I love to document the more complex repairs as I learn them and look forward to learning and sharing with this forum.
