Am new to the forum--presently own '88 260E and '90 300E-4matic---just put the 88 on the road after 1 year of gentle and some times not so gentle restoration, pulled it from a salvage yard--am experienced in auto repair, etc. as I have raced and rebuilt for many years, yet working with a MB is a new experience--'88 is good to go and a nice ride, just some minor things at this point but the '90 4matic is another issue--was searching the web for a repair manual and just don't know which one is appropriate--bought the Haynes Manual for the '88 and it served well yet have some major things with the "90 (front CV boots, level ride not working, cruise control not working) - brakes, rotors, exhaust are no problems but the aforementioned have me somewhat baffled--anybody out there with suggestions would be appreciated
welcome to the forum.
the best repair cd is the original one..WIS (workshop information system). it tells you everything you want to know and that that you may not want as well.
they are compose of two DVD's now and easy to install.
