I have to ask. If things go wrong are these things more expensive to either:
a) get parts for
b) Hard to find parts for
c) get someone who knows what the hell they are doing to work on it?

I am really torn here. I don't want to buy a money pit. It is from 1973 and needs inspected after sitting for appx. 2 years

Some are very expensive however your car is a 73 and nothing was complicated at the time mine are from the 86 and 89 very complexe because all electrics are run buy wires and not computer boards (power seats and such) I dont know what ur parts would cost but i am sure they are nothing like mine.

He just emailed me after I told him yesterday I wouldn't take it. He said he would do 550 so I kind of have to jump on that.

Expect me here for a while. I hope this car lasts through the winter.

I will also post real extensive pictures of it. After I buy it I am going to bing it straight to a mercedes benz mechanic to give it the once over.

I do wish I could do it before hand though.

Didn't buy it! I went to the DMV and they told me there was a newer title issued since the one I had. The seller couldn't get in touch with the guy he bought it off of.

He went from 5 grand last month to 400 bucks now. and it's still available.
