Hi all, I've been reading the threads for a few days and will be in the market for a wagon in the next few months. I figure that gives me enough time to figure out exactly what I'm going to buy. I've been looking at 300TEs.

I've seen a fair number of e320s in the $15K range, which I *might* consider buying but I'm still not informed enough either way. I think I like the 300tes better (I'm driving a Volvo 850, so maybe it's the squareness of the shape) but I'd like to get more info on maintenance, troubles and costs of maintaining.

I don't do a lot of driving, though my wife uses the car to pick up the kids, so reliability is key. The third seat will be essential.

Also, I'm in Brooklyn, NY - and will be looking for a local mechanic. I'm going to ask around on that. I've got a great Volvo mechanic - Lorenzutti - and have considered sticking to Volvos because I like him a lot. Anyone want to weigh in on Volvo vs. Mercedes? Pricewise, I believe they are about the same
