Default New! :D

HI!

I'm new here. I'm still a teen lol and this is my second Mercedes:

2003 C230 Kompressor Sports Coupe:

I put new speakers in it, Alpine type R component and Rockford Fosgate Coax, with a Rockford Fosgate 10" sub and 2 Alpine amps. Full leather interior, 6 CD changer, but manual seats. (It's not actually that bad... :P)

I keep it immaculate I also don't drive crazy... never gotten a ticket and no wrecks

My last Mercedes was a 1993 300E. I replaced it because it was too slow and was starting to have problems. (And it had 135,000 miles...) --My parents said it was too slow, not me --

My dad was just a truck driver he bought me my first Benz he paid about 8k (after fixing minor cosmetic things new lenses and things like that perfectionist worse than me) for it in 1999 and drove it until 2001 when i turned 16 and i got it.

Teens live with their parents and don't pay rent or a mortgage. Even if a teen makes $700/mo after taxes, one should be able to afford almost any base Benz.

In this case parents paid for it I had gotten my dad's old '93 Benz first, then when it got too old and worn out he got me a new C230 and my bro a car. My bro wanted a Jeep, my dad wouldn't get it for him, but got him a Lexus IS300 instead. lol

In my case just hard work saving and boom, a 1997 cougar rare edition, crashed, next day bought the BMW cash money. 4 monthe later, bought the Mercedes cash money, off good old fashioned hard work. No one has ever bought me a car and I'm glad they didn't because I owe no one anything and my name is on everything that I own.

And out of curiousity, how the heezies did ya'll manage to wear out a 1993 Benz so fast? A 1993? The 1983s are barely beginning to wear out. And maybe your dad thought the jeep was too dangerous and would flip or not not safe enough. IMO the Lexus is better than a Jeep and a BMW is better than Lexus and a Benz tops them all but alot of times shares the light with BMW.

And tha's a ssuming that a teen can find a $700/month after tax job, including going to school. Then credit in his own name is a prob because most finance comp. won't finance a Benz or something of that prestige to just a beginner credit teen, unless the parents or he/she knows somebody that knows somebody.

And from the Cougar experience, Payments sucks. The Cougar was a nice car, but I paid over the twice the amount for it than I did for paying cash for both the BMW and Benz put together. The result of being in the middle of nowhere Missouri with no car and still had to get to work. Was taking a walk one day and decided to buy a car, spur of the moment. Because I needed one and was tired of walking, so I bought a car to drive back.

Me, I have nothing against people with parents that give their kids everything or expensive things, because that's is their choice. Just like when my kids grow up, yeah I want them to work hard to pave their own life but I will still leave them something valuable like a nice size plot of land or a very nice nest egg. You have to work harder not smarter and why make it hard for the next generation if you don't have to just because you didn't get handed anything? Then it depends on the kids. If I knew my kids to be responsible and know how to appreciate it, I would buy them a brand new S-Class or whatever, but if they are some boneheads, hell no. If I can, why not? Sometimes it's the kids that never had anything that don't know how to act when they finally get something. Look at them rappers. Grew up with nothing but now they have everything in the world but still don't know how to act. If it's normality from the beginning, then it'll be no big deal. Just as it's no big deal to have a Benz because most of us had them for a while while outsiders don't see how the heezies can a non-rich self made 22 year old have a BMW that is being restored to museum condition, A future classic Mercedes that's in execllent shape, and on the verge of buying a V-12 luxury car cash does it. Hard work and values. (more to come but lunch break is ending. Back to work I go.)

And 39 before your first car? Geesh. How did you manage? And why did you wait so long?
