Wifey got a 2003 SLK320 last weekend. Nice local car, low miles, shiney Brilliant Silver 744, everythig works, new tires, it needed windshield wipers. Fresh oil and a filter is tomorrows "honey do", and she wants the grills and knock-out panels on the front color matched. "Why are they black when every thing else is silver?"
Who has an instant paint tip for me to find a color so close to 744 that you can't tell?My long departed 190D had been painted with a Chrysler silver that was hard to tell from original, which looks very close to 744. Will 7181 Atlas Gray for bumper color work or do you think there might be too much contrast?
