Last week Igot back into the MB arena withmy purchase of a Euro version '79 450 SLC 5.0. The previous owner brought it over from Germany and had it DOTed 18 years ago and has put on 45k miles since then. I had been looking for a older sedan ('65 through '73), but this showed up in the ads an hour from home and I had to go look at it. It's almost the proverbial 'little old lady' car. The couple I bought it from is in their 70's; she had a window sticker of her deceased cat in the window (it was her car) and he was an ex-fighter pilot who had kept meticulous maintenance and records on it.</P>


Anyway, love the rumbling big V-8 exhaust note, the torque and the long, low lines. I'll post pics after I make it shine and take a few.</P>
