Mercedes C200 203K Auto Inhibitor fault?
Hi,
Does any one have any experience with a possible inhibitor fault on a 2001 C200 Kompressor (203 model). When the car won't start the display does not show that it is in any gear. When both instrument indicators for the gear selection are blank the car wont start. It will start if the starter motor is given a supply and obviously the ignition is on. Diagnostic equipment indicates no apparent fault with immobiliser, gearbox or injection system.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Don't know what you mean by immobiliser, are you referring to the alarm system, that "immobilies the car when you you lock it? Also, I never heard or couldn't find an inhibitor fault, in any of the USA Mercedes literature I have. I assume you are writing from the UK? Perhaps this is a Euro, Australian thing? More information would help.
