Looking for an SL320

Howdy all.
Been an MB owner off and on for years. Currently pilot a little C320 wagon, '02 model year, and an '84 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet. Just back from our annual sprint down the coast from Seattle to San Francisco with a side trip to Yosemite and return via 395 in eastern California and Oregon. Always do this in the Carrera and whenever possible with the top down. Every year, the wife and I end up asking each other the question: Are we getting too old for this car?? It's great fun, but small and more than a bit harsh. AC, though freshly charged can't overcome the heat of a 100 degree day, and of course, packing light has evolved into an art form, given the limited space for luggage.
I'm pretty sure that if a really nice, low mileage SL320 presented itself, I'd jump on it - instantly. I don't think that I need the power of a V8, and am not inclined to want to feed one either. Of course, there are lots more 500's out there, and again, if something really nice turned up, I wouldn't rule it out. Gas can't get any more expensive - can it ??
I'll post in the SL forum with specific questions, but this seemed like a good place to introduce myself and say hello. If anyone reading has a line on an SL, I'm all ears.
