Haha, what would you like to know about cocktails? One drink my friend and I invented...well, at least we think we invented it is...

1 part blackhaus
1 part OJ
1 part Cranberry Juice

shake over ice, strain into a shot glass. Viola...you have a sweet shot that'll get you nice n' toasty. I want to add Vodka into it the next time I make it and see how people like it. blackhaus and vodka aren't a bad combination...

I'm wanted! Wow...I feel 100% honored! Thanks!

I have no knowledge of cocktails. I've been a proponent throughout my life of not polluting my whiskey or vodka with anything but the ocassional ice cube. I'm willing to try some, though.

Oh, wait. Is a mimosa considered a cocktail? I have those for breakfast once in a while, but that's it.

What are some of your favorites?

What are the most popular where you work?

Well a Mimosa is a cocktail. 3 oz of champagne and 3 oz of OJ.

My favorites? I am a beer chick. I stick with Miller Lite. I like Washington Apples. And SoCo and lime juice. For my shots. Every once in awhile I will do a Peach Schnapps and Ginger Ale.

Here's how to make all 3.

Washington Apple:
1 oz Crown Royal
1oz Sour Apple Pucker
Splash of Cranberry Juice.

Shake over ice and strain into a shot glass. (preferrably a chilled shot glass.)

SoCo and Lime Juice:

1/4 Rosemont Lime Juice
3/4 Southern Comfort

Lime Juice first, top off with SoCo. To me, this goes down A LOT smoother when it's chilled. So shake it over ice and strain it into the shot glass.

Peach Schnapps and Ginger Ale:

2 oz. Peach Schnapps
4 oz. Ginger Ale.

Pour right over ice. Stir, and serve with a Marichino Cherry.

The most popular drinks at my bar, are bottled beers! For mixed drinks, it's usually Gin and Tonic, Rum and Coke, and every once in awhile a Manhatten or a dry Martini.

Patrick, if you like Whiskey, try the Glenlivet.

A "beer chick?" My favorite beer is Shiner Bock. My favorite chicks are beer chicks. Really. No, really.

I add a good splash of Grand Marnier or Triple Sec to mimosas. And some orange zest, too. One of those or a Bloody Mary with breakfast. Not real often though.

I used to have two-Manhattan power lunches when I worked in DC. That's until I figured out that's what was making me stupid in the afternoon.

I think I might try the WA Apples and SoCo, but with vodka instead. I'm not much of a fan of Canada or bourbon.

The Glenlivet is very good, but Bruichladdich and MacCallan are better and worth a try, IMHO.

kirlgt...haha, need a mistress? Lets see, I owned the car from June 15th, 2005 to August 2nd or somewhere around there. It had 59k miles on it when I bought it, and 62k when I traded it in. I was an idiot and bought on impulse before doing a CarFax. I should have played it smart and did the CarFax. Which I had run on my new car. I also had my trusted mechanic take a look at it before I bought it. And had my father come out and drive it and look at it. Everything else, I took care of. I really wish I hadn't gotten rid of my old car for the Mercedes. I lost a ton of money. I also bought an extended warranty that was pretty much useless. So, I don't know if they can give me any sort of refund from that. I called 2 days too late to cancel the warranty all together.

Hi SL_600! Didn't mean to make you thirsty with the alcohol talk!

Lugnut...are you a bartender in disguise?! You seem to know your stuff! Or, you just have plenty of drinking experience to know all of it?! *snickers*

Patrick...you'd take Jim Beam over Jack Daniels?!

Hey, good to hear from you.

When I was younger, I used to tend local bars alot. Yeah, but I was on the other side than what you're thinking. On the "belly up" side. The problem is, I grew up in Utah where liquor-by-the-drink was and still is illegal. A person can order a cocktail with dinner or join a "private club" and get cocktails without dinner. Otherwise, the bars can only sell beer. I'm cocktailed-impaired as a result.
