How can I get a lease? Great credit but MB Finance says "no!"
Any advice from folks out there who have had to deal with this situation before?
I have a very good credit score (over 800), but no credit *history* since I pay everything off in full every month (so no revolving debt ever - no school loans, no house mortgage since I have always rented, etc). I have always had decent paying 9-5 office jobs (still do), and have had credit cards for decades.
I want to try a lease (36 or 39 months) with no cosigner, and want to pay the absolute minimum amount down.
I make enough to pay the lease. I could possibly pay cash, but I want to avoid this at all costs.
Dealer originally said I get a reasonable deal on the car price due to lease incentives with MB Finance ('08 CLK 550 convertible), before checking my credit.
However, I am now not getting approved by MB Finance due to having no history. They see my high credit score, but no history.
Any advice everyone?
Confused about all this,
Jon
Thanks!
