Hi everyone, I am seriously considering buying a tatty but rust free and running 1970 w108 /8 280S, but desperately need some links or info on checking, buying, fixing, etc. The car is very complete and everything seems to work but I haven't driven it yet.

Any useful info on this old MB would be invaluable. I have never owned a Mercedes, but am happily confident with DIY engine rebuilds etc.
